Joslyn Ginn first stepped into another world when she played Mary Poppins in her fourth-grade play—and kept the accent for a full week afterward, to the patient amusement of everyone around her. It wasn't just a role. It was the discovery that words, when arranged just right, could transform an ordinary moment into something magical. That feeling never left.
Her lifelong love of language has shaped everything she's done since: the search for the perfect phrase that carries an emotion cleanly, the paragraph that paints a scene vivid enough for a reader to step inside, the story that lingers long after the last page. Words have always been her way of exploring the world—and inviting others to explore it with her.
By day, Joslyn is a Business Operations Consultant, uncovering the hidden narrative inside tangled data and turning chaos into clarity. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, walking beside children as they navigate the family court system. That work has sharpened her eye for the small, telling details of human behavior—details that become the heartbeat of her fiction, especially when the stakes are high.
Her home is shared with two dogs, two cats, and a deep love of the natural world. The young children in her family fill her life with curiosity, laughter, and the kind of questions that spark entire stories. They are the joyful inspiration behind her children's picture books—stories written to delight them, surprise them, and give them new worlds to explore.
Her mystery series, however, is where her creative compass points most often. She is currently at work on an amateur-sleuth series: Book One, A Stranger's Last Conversation, is with beta readers, and Book Two, A Detective's Last Case, is underway. The mysteries are her main focus—rich with atmosphere, character, and the quiet revelations that come when people are pushed to their limits.
More genres may follow. There are always more worlds waiting to be written—and Joslyn has never stopped exploring.
